About
The series of stage exercises coordinated by Silviu Purcărete takes on a fresh approach on Jonathan Swift’s novel, where fantasy blends in with a harsh political satire.
Silviu Purcărete’s production reunites social and cultural aspects of the world we live in, having the support of an original musical score by Irish composer Shaun Davey, the creator of a musical suite for “Voices from the Merry Cemetery” (“Vocile din Cimitirul Vesel”). This is the 8th production that Silviu Purcărete stages at Radu Stanca National Theatre of Sibiu. Gulliver’s Travels is a cultural project that began in 2010, in partnership with Edinburgh International Festival, with the support of The Administration of the Romanian National Cultural Fund.
